Dry Shampoo is basically something you can use for a quick fix if you are not able to do a proper shampoo. It’s basically like a powder spray that contains a very fine highly absorbent powder that is supposed to spray directly on your roots a scalp is basically skin.
And just like the rest of the skin on our body it also has oily glands so in between washes it gets greasy it gets dirty. As a result, our roots start looking greasy and dirty.
So in case, you’re not able to wash your hair if you’re running late on a certain day and you just don’t have the time to do a proper shampoo dry shampoo gives you the option of decreasing the roots taking away that oily limp feeling just freshening up the hair till the time that you can do a proper wash.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
I’m a huge fan of living proof, most of their products are known for being cocktail products, so you can actually use different products within the living proof line on top of each other.
I got this dry shampoo from living proof and it comes with four ounces for $22, so that’s kind of a reasonable price for a high-end dry shampoo.
The look and feel of this dry shampoo is very well. When you first apply it to your hair, it does have a little bit of a white cast, it is very gritty and dry. Personally, I didn’t really like the way it felt. I had high hopes for the way it would feel after I brush it out but originally I didn’t really like it.
It is really easy to use, it comes out very fast out of the bottle, so you do have to be pretty sparing with how much you spray into your hair. It is such a thick dry shampoo that you really don’t want to use it too much.
The smell of this dry shampoo is pleasant. It is very subtle and clean and will stay in your hair all day which I definitely don’t mind.
Overall, I would say that it is easy to use but at the same time, it made my hair sticky and gritty. I always look for a thick dry shampoo that makes my hair feel texturizing but this almost did it too much.
Batiste vs Living Proof Dry Shampoo
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo
The reason I really like Detox Dry Shampoo is that it is really good for absorbing oil and takes it to another level. So what I love about this one is that when your hair is really greasy and when you spray it on, it almost like appears like a powder.
I just feel like this one really freshens the hair and absorbs the oil really well. If you have dark hair, this one is definitely giving more like a white cast because it is really powdery and the powdery texture is what really gets the oil up.
Overall, This is a really good one, when you have really greasy hair. So if you like Drybar products, this one is really great at absorbing oil.
How to Use Dry Shampoo?
Dry shampoos are great when it comes to extending a hard-earned style and keeping your hair look clean and refreshed. To get the most out of your dry shampoo, here are a few tricks to help keep it clog-free.
First, remember to shake the can vigorously for a few seconds before your first spray. This will help get all the ingredients inside well mixed. Now your dry shampoo is ready to use.
Just spray in sections at the roots and massage in. When you’re done applying, make sure your last spray or two is done with the can upright. This gives the ingredients a chance to settle back into place.
If you feel your shampoo isn’t spraying like it used to, gently flip open the cap by pressing in and up near the nozzle. With the top open, rinse it under a gentle stream of warm water. If the cap doesn’t open, don’t force it. Just rinse the nozzle directly. Dab off any extra water and set aside to air-dry. When it is completely dry, reclose the top and you’re all set to shake and use.
So to make sure you get the most out of your dry shampoo, shake vigorously, make sure your last spray is upright, and rinse in warm water if needed.
Conclusion
As you already read my review, so you might already know which one I like. I will recommend going with the Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo.
